Silent, free flowing easy clean pump.
Amazing after 1 week check, could not believe how much cleanin time this model saves, with much less wrap on the foam. Fish seem happier that the filtration is better. Upgraded from the 306 3 layer to 307 that has two extra filtration layers, and a better pump motor. In the first week i used additional carbon bags that gave me a high kh. I've tested after 1 week and all seems good. I've removed the extra carbon, but the pump is silent, more robust features, fixtures have been made more durable and secure. The aqua filter is much easier to fit, slots in no trouble (the 306 I had to fight to fit on every water change). Three x the price, but worth it for the reduced hassle. Well done chaps, much appreciated design improvement.

Easy to use and keeps the water healthy and clean.
Purchased to replace internal filter in a125L freshwater aquarium. I last had an external canister filter over 20 years ago, which was also a Fluval. I have to say there have been some big design updates. Installation beneath my tank in the cabinet was relatively easy. The only problem I had was that I fitted the gasket incorrectly which resulted in some water leaking onto the floor, however this was quickly remedied when I realised the mistake. The filter media included was ok. I replaced the ceramic bio rings with sintered glass ones for better biological load, but nothing else. I also used some of the media from the old filter to seed the new one.Cleaning is easy. Just disconnect the hose assembly, remove the canister and rinse everything in water that you've taken from the tank. It could not be simpler. There have been comments about the length of hose supplied. Personally I didn't have any problems. Water quality is excellent and the filter is doing a great job. I bought some silicone grease and use it to grease the gasket every 4 weeks and ensure a good seal.Fluval recommend you replace the bio rings every six months, I don't see the need for this myself. All in all, very happy with the filter in terms of quiet running and overall performance. One minor issue for me was the hose retaining clips were too bulky for my tank hood to close fully but got around this with judicious use of some cable ties. Recommend purchasing a spray bar for best surface agitation.

Very easy to use, little noisey
My previous external filter broke (different well known brand) and bought this as has good reviews. The good: easy to set up, really good pump action to refill chamber after cleaning, good media included. The bad: The outlet on this is above water level so quite nosey (sound of water, constantly feel like I need a wee), supplied hoses are just long enough, I had 3 inches spare.Overall: works really well, tank looks great, feels a good quality item, price seems fair.

Great filter *with top tips* recommend over All Pond Solutions
This is a great filter. I thought I would give it a go after having 2 awfully loud All Pond Solutions 1000EF+ filtersThe filter is easy to install and includes all the filter media to get you started. I would however recommend upgrading from the supplied cheaper looking ceramic rings to Fluvals Biomax ceramic rings or even better, Seachem matrix as that can also support nitrate eating bacteria unlike ceramic media which cannot. The only bad point to this filter is that the intake and output fittings that attach to the top of your tank are kinda cheap and flimsy, with only suction cups to hold them in place which is a hastle to get them on straight and to not get pulled to one side by the tension from the hosing; they also have one suction cup on the front and one on the back to grip the glass on both sides but if you have a background the rear cup will not stick to it!The solution to this is that the hoses and fittings from the All Pond Solutions filter I mentioned earlier fits the 107 and 207 perfectly and are sold on their website. Make sure to get their hose too as the Fluval hose won't fit the APS fittings! The All Pond Solutions intake and output are much sturdier and clamp on to the glass for a much better hold and also include a spray bar which is sold separately with the Fluval.Another good point about this filter is it is very easy to prime it. It takes only a few pumps of the priming handle even when the canister is empty, you don't even have to fill it with water first which you do with the APS one or you'd be pumping it all day, just make sure the output nozzle is above the waterline if you're priming it from empty. This can be done by draining a bit of water out of your tank or during a water change. After you've got it started a top tip is to tilt or rock it side to side gently and this will remove most of the trapped air bubbles quicker but it may still take a few hours or so for it all to leave the system and for it to reach the lowest noise level. It is pretty quiet for a canister filter. Once all air has been purged out I'd say the noise level is comparable to the fan of a PC or games console. If you also run an air pump on your tank you will definitely not hear this filter over that. Just make sure if you do that this doesn't suck up any of the bubbles as this will make it louder again! This is the perfect sized filter for my 160 litre tank; I'd recommend it for tanks 1m wide. The box says up to 220 litres but those size tanks are sometimes 1.2m which this may be a little on the small side for though; it may struggle to push the water that far, so I'd recommend the Fluval 307 or even the 407 if you can afford it for 200 litres and larger.Cleaning is very convenient as all 3 trays can be pulled out and put back at once with the handle which I thought was a nice touch. Also you cannot put it together wrong as everything lines up one way unlike the APS 1000EF+ which you can line the trays up wrong, then have to take apart again.Pros:Quiet for an external filterNot too expensive for a good brandCanister feels well madeFilter media includedEasy to primeCons:Tubing/fittings cheap feeling (but easily upgradable)Not as quiet as an internal filterOverall I am happy with my purchase 😊 and I've included some photos of it with the other manufacturers hosing and fittings attached so you can see what I'm talking about. If you are thinking of getting an All Pond Solutions filter I would definitely recommend paying a bit extra and getting this instead. The 207 is usually £101.99 everywhere online I've seen it which is a bit more than the cheap brands but still cheaper than other premium brands like Eheim.

Super filter
Got this as an upgrade on the stock filter supplied with our 240L tank and can only say the improvement is amazing. Very quiet, able to have more filter media in and can adjust the flow. Urmston aquatics are a great LFS and if you live close they are great for buying fish from but bought the filter off them through Amazon as this was cheaper than in the shop!!! Definitely recommend the filter and the seller!!!

Fluval external filters are the best
My current Fluval 207 is many years old now and has noticilby reduced in quality, recently it failed and I dont know how long it was out for. Ordered this and it arrived the next day. Fluval external filters are the best out there. Setup within a couple of mintues. The reason I like external filters is the cleanup speed
