Love it!
I loved that it's wire binder easy to flip, there is an instruction page which children needs and adults don't always give. Some pages can be used as cards (great idea!).

Great Starter Colouring Set Or Gift
Colouring has seen a massive increase in popularity recently and especially adult colouring and I must admit that I am another adult who has recently discovered that I Iike to colour-in to help reduce stress and uplift my mood especially after a difficult day at work. This book does not specify the age range it is aimed at however it does state on the inside page that Klutz aims their products at kids aged 3 to 103 and so it seems they have kept the target market open on this book. There are 59 pages to colour in alongside some introductory pages which explain some colouring basics such as techniques, how to shade and create darker colours, how to mix colours and different styles of colouring. The designs vary from reasonably simple drawings to really intricate ones that would probably only be suited for older children or adults but there is a good selection to fit varying age ranges and so I would think anyone older than 6 would find something of interest in the book. There are also postcard style drawings in the book which can be pulled out and sent when completed in addition to the normal drawings and most pages are double sided so care will need to be taken if using gel pens or markers as these may seep through the pages. My one niggle is that all of the drawings are not single sided as this means if you are using pens that seep through the pages you will lose a drawing on the opposite side. The paper is a decent thickness and all pages are perforated at the edges for ease of removing from the book if wished. The book comes with 5 double sided pencils which are a reasonable standard and fine for colouring with but obviously they are not the same standard as the more expensive watercolour and adult colouring pencils that are about in abundance at the moment. The book and pencils would make a nice gift for anyone who loves to colour and would also be perfect for anyone wishing to find out if colouring is something they would wish to take up as a hobby before spending money on more expensive books and pencil sets.A really good book with some great designs including some mandala style pictures and the only reason I have deducted a star from my marking is that the pages are not single sided.

Cool all-in-one package with good range of pencils and pictures to colour
Although there has been a glut of colouring books on the market recently, this one is just different enough to stand out as a fun all-in-one package. The pages are thick, with many perforated and designed to be pulled out, so that your coloured pictures can become postcards and pictures for giving as gifts etc. For older children, this will mean the book includes a certain craft angle that gives it a longer life, and for younger children, parents will know how much kids love giving their pictures to loved ones once they're finished! The pictures are eclectic and varied, plus the double-ended colouring pencils are a really fun idea and a nice touch. The overall package that contains the pencils feels a little flimsy (in comparison to the high quality colouring pages) and seems like it got a little squashed in transit, but otherwise this is a very cool set and I'm sure a lot of kids will enjoy this very much.

Lovely book, not clear what age group it's aimed at
Yet another colouring book joining the colouring-in craze, and this one is lovely. The paper is thick, and some pages are laid out perforated ready to use as postcards. The pencils are bright and firm enough to not spread colour outside the lines. The few pages of "how to" at the front are genuinely helpful with guidance how to blend colours, pick colour schemes and use different effects.I'm not sure what age group this book is pitched at. Some pictures are arguably too simple for adults, others need a lot of tiny detailed work and repetition. So I'd guess the perfect audience age is about 12 to 15 years old. Or grown-ups needing something a bit less intense and time consuming thanĀ Enchanted Forest: An Inky Quest and Colouring Book .If you are buying this for a younger person it's worth noting the text is in American English, so keep that in mind if any spelling tests are due at school!
