Not effective
I have used other hair masques before that had the consistency of Crisco shortening. Those were effective. This product is thicker than shampoo, but thinner than my normal conditioner. It is a struggle to get a comb through my hair after using this product, and it does not leave my hair feeling smooth or silky. It does make the floor of my shower treacherously slippery. Be careful!

Helped release knots in hair
The smell is really nice, but most of all it really helps in releasing the “rats” in my fine hair. Since going natural gray, my hair tangles very easily. The shampoo, conditioner, and mask all work together to help keep those tangles under control.
