It works great and it's lasted awhile
I used this for a build its not smart tech but it's great for basic builds and first time builders

Wish the name brand was not so expensive
But at least there are brands out here making good replacement/additional sets for those of us who need a little more for a little less.So far no problem with these.

I don’t think you’d ever know these pieces were “aftermarket”
This Lego compatible Technic kit consists of 8 total pieces (2 x Battery Pack, 2 x M Motors, 2 x Lights, and 2 x Switches). Each piece came individually wrapped in its own plastic bag, and did not include any instructions. If you’re buying these, one would assume you already know how to use them. The battery packs do not come with any batteries, so you will need to have AA batteries on hand to use these. The pieces look nearly identical to the Lego brand pieces excluding the battery packs. The only thing different on those is the cover. Build quality is on par with the Lego brand and these pieces had no fitment issues when used with Lego Bricks or Technic pieces. The motors ran quick, and the lights (led) were bright. The batteries last quite awhile when paired with the motors. If there is anything negative to say, it’s that the on/off switch on the battery packs were stiff. This could be also a positive thin however, making them not easily turned off with your build if there is vibration etc.Overall a get kit at a lower price than the factory Lego branded parts. I don’t think you’d ever know these pieces were “aftermarket”.

Almost indistinguishable from the Lego parts!
These are Lego compatible Technic style motors and parts. Each piece came individually wrapped, and it is a quality kit. (No instructions were included, but a Technic builder should already know how to use these parts.) You get two battery packs, two M motors, two light kits, and two forward/reverse switches. Excluding the battery pack, you wouldn't be able to distinguish these parts from genuine Lego parts. The two battery packs though did have some noticeable differences, but I don't think they're negative. The power LED is not as bright, and one of my battery pack's on/off switch was rather tight. The other one felt just right, whereas the genuine Lego ones are quite loose and easy to bump into on/off. Another issue I have with the genuine Lego battery pack is the difficulty of removing the batteries. In contrast, these battery packs have much softer springs so it is easy to insert and remove the batteries. Since there is a snap on cover, there isn't any issue with the batteries popping loose. So overall, not particularly negative differences. And this set costs considerably less than the official Lego parts, especially since the Power Functions set is now retired. Recommended!

Functional set
I've been looking for more M-motors because I decided I preferred leaving one attached to a recent build. I also only had one battery box so far and wanted a spare in case I ever end up having leaky batteries ruin mine. This kit is unusual in that it's got two battery boxes instead of just one, so it might be extra nice to have as a starter set or for builds where a battery box needs to be built-in.I notice that the battery boxes have slightly thinner doors than the one I already had. The switches on these boxes have less firm position stops as well. Even so, they are perfectly functional. The motors, LEDs, and forward/off/reverse switches all work and are nearly indistinguishable from my others. If anything, the power connectors on these fit better than the ones I had. I'm still hoping to track down a variable speed control for m-motors since they only operate at a single speed in forward or reverse when connected with these basic components.Overall, this set is a classic case of "does what it says on the tin."

Worked PERFECTLY with all Lego tested with
I got these particularly to use with tons of preowned Lego. The Power Function parts are starting to get pricey now that they are retired, and I wanted to be able to test these for use in replacing PF parts in my MOC's.In every application that I put them through, including powering up some models, they passed with flying colors. I used them also in conjunction with another group of "clone" Helcdrx and both worked fine together. To me this is a big win situation, as I'll leave some PF parts in their boxes, sealed for posterity, and use these in my MOC's. And mostly they even look the part, though normally these are buried inside models so never seen much anyway. Now, if in use I see some changes I'll be back! But for now they are great!
