Purchased to use with a portable air con unit. My windows all 4 sides using window frame surround as my measurement was 286cm so I purchased the 300cm(3mtr) hoomee. This was more than enough. Instructions were clear but the basics are cut double sided Velcro to fit around window surround then as my windows open out attach double sided Velcro on inside of window frame. Then attach the hoomee sheet as per instructions making sure you start at your window handle by middling the sheet and simply attach to Velcro.Positivesgood adhesion to window frame, hoomee sheet is strong and well made and Velcro is good quality. Allows you to habe this fitted all year round as window will close when fitted.NegativesAll I can say is having a sheet round your window isn't the prettiest but you can detach the sheet from the velcro if preferred but as I haven't I won't comment on how good fixing and unfixing may affect the adhesion but will say I don't think there would be any loss.

Fairly easy to install if you watch a tutorial on YouTube first. I would say it went well for me but still ended up having excess folds which creates small gaps for bugs, etc to possibly enter. Good quality material, I can see it surviving a long time with daily use.

Bought this to replace the piece of cardboard jammed in the window. I wasnt too sure how effective this was going to be to stop the heat from coming back in and to stop insects invading the bedroom. I watched the installation video a couple of times as my window opens outward. I applied the velcro to the window surround and window frame, to be honest there was a bit of material left over but I secured this with a clothes peg to close the gap. The material is strong as are the zips, the velcro provides a strong seal to the window frame and once you get the hang of zipping up the aircon hose and locking it with the reusable cable tie this really is a bit of effective kit. I have used this all summer and now the weather is cooling I can leave it in place and still close my window. For the money you really cant go wrong and the after sales support is also excellent with follow up emails to check if all is ok and offer of support for installation questions. I would highly recommend it.

Decent but with wear and tear (less then 1 year with minimal use - as not much of a summer in the uk lol) it tore leaving a gaping hole. Give it a reasonable 3 stars.

It is extremely easy to install. Trick is to watch the videos relevant to your window, then watch them again! Assuming you've ordered the correct size, once the Velcro is on the window and the frame, if you do put it on the wrong way (yes you can!) simply pull it of and correct your mistake.As my new air con arrived a few days before I got this, I simply stuck the hose out of the bedroom window. It worked OKish, but what a difference it made after installing this! The room cools down significantly quicker and you can feel the air resistance when you open or close the bedroom door with the air con going.We've had two follow up emails since we bought this asking us to contact the supplier if we had an installation problem (not enough Velcro etc) and they would sort t out for us. Not needed thankfully but a reassuring touch.Shane I couldn't give them more than 5!!

Here you're essentially buy a strip of material with a zip, and some velcro and velcro tape.The idea is the material creates a seal between the window and frame so that the hot outside air doesn't get back in, yet the air can escapre out of your aircon exhaust pipe.This can also be used for a tumbledryer, but to be honest, not sure how many people would run their tumbledryer like that.At £21, I think it's very expensive for what you're getting, but must admit that it definitely works better than not having it, so despite the price, the efficiency gain would probably make it pay for itself in the long run. Also the aircon just works for effectively and can actually maintain a lower temperature (hot air getting back in more readily otherwise). Do you feel like you're getting value, probably not. Do I regret buying it? - No, it doesn't look pretty and seem good value, but it has served its purpose.

This product was great in the beginning. Once you work out how to attach it to the window frame, it keeps the room sealed, makes the air-con work better and keeps the bugs out. It works extremely well…until….you try to remove it! Ours was on the window frame for 2.5 years and we attempted to remove it yesterday….with no luck. The glue was thick set and solid on the window frame as well as on the window door frame, and wouldn’t shift with many obvious removers - nail varnish remover, various ‘sticky stuff’ removers etc. Have never seen anything leave such a gloopy, yet solid, difficult to remove nightmare of a residue in all my life. Thankfully we found a solution, but it came with a massive dose of ‘elbow grease’!!!

Superb product 300cm fits 250cm top casement window no problem, just needs slight adjustment but easy enough! It's even maintained itself with recent bad winds, has stuck and sealed no problem! Recommend worth every penny! And helped keep the bedroom lovely and chilled using the air con!
