Easily Assembled, Great Controls (for Parents, too), Feature Filled
Continuing my trek in making my home a welcoming place for my grandchildren, I ordered this Kid’s car as soon as I saw it. Well, I did look at its features, first. I especially appreciated that I can control the car from a remote to keep them safe (as this is not something that I’m going to tell them to go out and play with without me there). It comes with printed directions that are helpful, but frankly, not all that helpful. Sometimes it uses vocabulary that I’m just not aware of (take the “?” and attach it to the “?”). But the diagrams helped. One caution (don’t tighten the wheel axels too much) is at the end of the installation manual rather than right next to the “tighten wheel axels” part. From a picture in the directions it seemed like I was going to have to remove the rear seat every time I wanted to recharge the battery. That would have been terrible, and I’m glad to say that I misunderstood (the charging port is easily accessible under/in front of the seat cover). All in all though, the directions were helpful and the construction of this car made it easy to put together. Sturdy metal parts as well. The parts snap together and are then (usually) screwed in as well. One of the wires to the electric motors (one for each wheel) wasn’t connected, so I had to solder it. It was an easy fix, but I had to go searching for my soldering iron as I haven’t used it for at least ten years! All the other soldering was solid, so I expect this was just a fluke. The controls leave a lot for the kids to control. They can “shift gears” to go up a hill (4-wheel drive vs the more battery efficient 2-wheel drive), listen to the radio (Bluetooth player), accelerate and brake. As with almost any toy, safety needs to be a concern, especially a toy as large as this (it will only climb 15-degree hills, so you probably don’t need to worry about tipping over).Oh yes, the grandkids love it!

They loved it!
This ride on car is fantastic whether inside or out. Its especially fun outdoors as it sort of has a small bouncing action due to the springs. I used the remote at first to help them get the hang of it and then they were able to take over. My older daughter said its her favorite toy! It has all the extras like speakers and mp3 player for music that they enjoyed "just like mommy's car".
