Good coffee and a great value
As any coffee lover knows there is an unbelievable amount of choices out there. Personally, we enjoy trying as many as we can in our coffee consumption journey. We had never tried this brand before and it’s at a fair price- at least on Amazon. It has a rich full body flavor but not too bitter or burnt tasting (I’m looking at you SB). Good coffee- good value - hard to beat.

Smooth and Not Bitter
I have been working my way through various brands of coffee. Searching for just the right strength and quality. I think I've found a winner! San Francisco Bay is a smooth and flavorful coffee. It does not have that bitterness that so many coffees have. I have bought several bags now and have converted several friends.

Good value - on the smoky side
The coffee is a true dark roast. I prepared it using the pour-over paper filter method. It cost me roughly 20 bucks, and I find it almost indistinguishable from the Costco Green and White Kirkland House Blend bag. The difference is that Costco’s offering costs about 17 bucks here and gives you an extra half pound compared to this coffee.Twenty dollars is still a good value compared to Starbucks, but for this price, I’d prefer the Lavazza Super Crema. This coffee doesn’t list a roast date—which would be very helpful (what are they hiding?)—but it does have a "best by" date in 2026. Coffee is fresh for one or two months after roasting, then starts to degrade, so that date seems like wishful thinking. To be fair, Costco also doesn’t include a roast date. They also don’t disclose where their beans are sourced from. I’ve had a few bags of Costco coffee that wouldn’t bloom when water was added. This indicates the coffee is very old and the CO₂ has dissipated. This coffee, however, bloomed quite a bit, leading me to believe it’s fresher.Overall, it’s not bad—a little on the smoky side, but not too much. I have yet to try it in the espresso maker. I may update this once I do.

San Francisco Bay Coffee - Medium-Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee -
San Francisco Bay Coffee - Medium-Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee - Organic Rainforest Blend (2 lb bag) - UDSA OrganicIt’s really good coffee. The beads are whole and very fresh. The aroma is intoxicating and rich in favorite. I recommend is because it is also organic no chemical additives.

Love the Organic Rainforest Blend
I like to see shiny, oily, almost black colored beans when I open a bag of whole bean coffee. I know then that it is roasted the way I like it. I use the Organic Rainforest Blend in my Keurig coffee maker so I purchased the Organic Rainforest Blend whole bean for my percolator coffee maker. Great cup of coffee! Not overly dark but on the heavier medium side, smooth, and lots of flavor. The San Francisco Organic Rainforest Blend is the only coffee for me!

Fantastic Coffee
This is my go to coffee now. I need to drink decaf - but the regular processing of decaf wasn't something I was willing to consume. This is produced in a healthy manner and the taste is fantastic. I highly recommend this coffee.

disappointing flavor
Disappointing. Not a lot of flavor for a true coffee lover. Nice aroma out of the canister and grinder but not very much after brewed.

Great flavor and price!
I have switched from a Keurig to the pour over method for my morning cup and have tried many brands of coffee. I always come back to San Franciscan. I love my coffee dark and smooth. The French Roast is also good but I prefer this extra dark Italian for it's flavor and its price.
