It's quite difficult to quantify how effective this Vegetology turmeric is compared to other brands, but I have no doubt that turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties have been hugely beneficial to me over many years, particularly improving my skin and reducing the pain from tendonitis. Some would argue that including black pepper as an ingredient is not necessary, as the piperine in black pepper starts to lose its potency not long after the pepper is ground, but it's not doing any harm being there. These capsules are particularly orange and have quite a strong aroma, more so that others I have purchased before.This supplement has as its ingredients: Turmeric extract, vegetable capsule shell (hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose), black pepper extract, microcrystalline cellulose and bamboo extract. Per serving there is 285mg of curcuminoids which contains 225mg of curcumin. There is also 5mg of black pepper. The best before date was 12 months away from the date of delivery.Assuming the ingredients are what it says they are, and there is no reason to believe otherwise, this should be a worthwhile turmeric supplement. After using it for a couple of weeks, all the indications are that it is beneficial for me.

These have an expiry date over a year out for 60 one a day capsules, which is good to see. The packaging is solid and can easily be seen as airtight immediately.I have seen many articles that state taking Turmeric with black pepper helps to aid absorption of Turmeric in the body, due to the piperine in the black pepper. so that is a plusThe capsules themselves are about the size of a standard multivitamin and are relatively easy to swallow. When smelling the contents of the container there is a strong undisguised smell of turmeric, not dissimilar to smelling a freshly opened turmeric jar.There is no doubt that this is a crowded market and this product is at a premium price point. However, they are vegetarian and vegan certified. It certainly looks to be a quality product, though the price I personally find a little high compared to other turmeric products I have used as I do not need the vegan certification, though do like the long shelf life a lot.

The health benefits of turmeric are well known and I have been using turmeric supplements for a long time and it is something that I looked closely into when I first started using them. So I have some reasonable knowledge on the subject.You get a bottle of 60 capsules. These have a decent dosage of 300mg with 95% curcuminods.1 tablets required per day, so potentially this jar will last me 2 months.States in the add that they are made in the UK but on the label refers to the USA FDA guidelines? Maybe manufactured for the US market.I found the capsules are slightly smaller than the standard size capsules. (See photo).They were easy to swallow and they went down ok.I have had no adverse effects.They have a decent ‘Best before’ date of 11/10/2024. So I can stock pile them for future use.Personally they’re way too expensive for 2 months supply. I’d normally pay half that price for the same dosage also with black pepper, plus mine have added ginger too. (£16.99 at the time of the review).In summary: Ok dosage and may be ethically produced but way too expensive for me.

In my opinion, this makes this supplement worth the money and good value for the quality.These capsules with turmeric powder and black pepper are easy to swallow and do not have any aftertaste. The recommendation is to take one a day, so this supplement will last for two months.

This is a tricky product to review, as how do you measure you 'wellness' over a relatively short period of time?We have several friends who swear by these tablets, or very similar ones, so we thought we would also give them a try. We are in our mid sixty's and keep pretty active anyway, but whilst we are not big into 'herbal remedies and vitamin supplements', when recommended by trustworthy friends we thought we would try them out.They have a slightly 'spicy' scent, which you would expect, and the colour reflects the Turmeric ingredient as it should. Easy to swallow too, as normally I dislike taking tablets.Only time will tell, but I hope they will show some positive results over time
