John Wayne 1911 Metal CO2 BB Pistol, Brown Grips air Pistol

Absolutely in LOVE with this BB gun.Firstly, the finish of this frame is incredible. Has all the features of the actual 1911 like the grip safety and crisp single-action trigger. Has rear strap checkering in the metal frame which is something on much higher-end guns. No issues holding CO2 and cycling BBs. Accuracy is great and the slide stop operates perfectly. Blowback action is a lot of fun and very reliable. No complaints at all about this pistol - worth every penny.!

I’ve been looking at this John Wayne gun for a while and I decided to pull the trigger. For $103 bucks well worth it and actually worth more. It’s been holding steady at that price but I’ve seen it as much as $179. Weight is really nice! Just bought because I’m a big fan of the Duke.

I've read some of the other reviews focused on the lower rated ones. I think some people just got a lemon. I believe anything you purchased from anywhere it's just luck of the draw. Weather or not you just happen to get something that slipped through quality control. At least that's been my experience with on line purchases. I've put 3clips through this pistol and using one bottle no issues as of yet. Happy so far it dose seem to land up and to left a bit at 15ft. But if your a shooter you'll be able to compensate. Let's face it it's a BB gun. And for the price I am having fun with it.Update..Well it finally broke. First I'd like to say I had a lot of fun with it. Only two things first the slide lock broke a month or so ago. Fun fact. An actual slide lock from a real 1911 fits and works great. And stronger than the one that came with it. A little filing and performed great. Next a soper tiny spring somehow got out of place inside the slide. A BB I think got rolled around and Jamed it up. The it wouldn't slide back in place or fire properly. I just received my Springfield 1911 and it's identical the magazine is even interchangeable. So now I have two magazines. Hpoe it last evean longer.

Loading the mag is a case in point. The slide in the BB channel DOES lock back by deflecting it upward once past the loading port. I do use a slender, pointed, awl to pull te slide back and lift it into the locked position. A simple downward push releases the slide.
